SHBC and Hills Shire Council Alliance Partnership

About the SHBC and THSC Alliance Partnership:

The Hills Shire Council (THSC) and the Sydney Hills Business Chamber (SHBC) enjoy a long-standing relationship working in Alliance to increase the range of support activities and opportunities for growth for businesses in the Hills Shire.

Both organisations deliver activities and projects that aim to increase local jobs for residents and attract the right types of investment, businesses and industries to our region, to the overall benefit of the local economy and community wellbeing of Hills residents and businesses.

Strategic alignment

THSC prioritise their activities under the theme Building a Vibrant Community and a Prosperous Economy. Our Alliance Head Agreement supports the following strategies.

Promote the awareness of the region’s business opportunities and provide information and support to attract new investment and jobs.
Support existing businesses and business networks to increase business capacity and capabilities to grow jobs.
You can find more information about the Councils Economic Development strategies and business support programs at https://www.thehills.nsw.gov.au/Business

The SHBC serves our members and the entire Hills business community through our 3 core pillars: Influence, Access, and Community.

Influence – having the right seats at the right tables to influence decisions that impact local businesses.

Access – facilitating access for all businesses to support, information, education to enable them to thrive.

Community – providing opportunities for businesses and their leaders to connect, collaborate, and celebrate success.

The Alliance Partnership relationship was renewed in early 2023 for another 3 years and is established in the spirit of collaboration and cooperation, for the mutual benefit of both organisations and the business community.

Both organisations will work together to develop and promote programs that align with the THSC and SHBC’s strategic objectives.
