The Connectors program at the Sydney Hills Business Chamber is unique, and one that we are proud to offer in conjunction with our events.
Prior to every chamber event, those who have registered will be emailed a list of fellow attendees. This gives you the opportunity to scour the list and highlight those in the business community who you’d most like to meet and build connections with.
When you arrive at the event, you’ll find our connectors (in hi-vis vests!) waiting to guide you to the person you’re looking for. It’s another of the many ways we connect you with people who can help your business grow and prosper.
The Connector Program is an important feature of all SHBC Events. The purpose of the program is to help facilitate connections between our members and visitors.
Approaching someone you do not know at an event is daunting. Building relationships through warm connection helps to expand your contact base, which helps to increase sales and referrals.
The SHBC Connector Program assists people in developing connections with other businesses through our networking activities.
How it works
At each in-person and virtual event a group of between 4-8 Connectors (who are volunteer members) wear a Connector vest (or Name Badge if online) to help identify them as a Connector.
The event MC announces the Connectors and encourages our attendees to use the program to get the most out of their event experience.
The Connectors have a list of attendees and can be used by anyone at the event to help introduce them to another attendee.
Before the event day a list of all attendees (registered) is sent to our attending members so they can prepare a list of who they would like to be introduce to on the day. The Connector program encourages members to be intentional about networking.
