The Chamber is talking about Knowing Your Numbers – All Things Financial this month, which is essential to any successful business.
We will be focusing on this theme at our two business networking events in March and in our MyBoard groups, which are back in full force for the year.
If you are not part of a MyBoard yet, take the opportunity now to activate this important benefit of your membership. If you have a business with over 15 employees, you can join our new MyEnterprise Groups designed for businesses at that next growth stage. You can find out more about these by contacting our Membership Manager.
What else is happening?
We’re launching our monthly Chairman’s Coffee Catchup on March 15. You can find more information about this new social networking opportunity for members here.
Our Quarterly Golf Days begin again this month (March 19). I‘ve got my ticket booked and I’m looking forward to a day off on the course with some friendly fellow hackers/golfers. Come and join us!
At our first few events this year, I’ve been sharing that we want more of our members involved in the life of the Chamber. To do this, we are offering our members the opportunity to participate in working groups that can help us brainstorm and expand the activities and impact of the Chamber.
We know you’ve got some great ideas, and we want to hear about them!
We have two new working groups starting in April, that we would like to invite you to volunteer for now:
- Advocacy Strategy Working Group – help us develop our Chamber advocacy strategy for 2021-22.
- Celebrating Women in Business Program working group – help us expand the wonderful CWIB program beyond the biannual lunches this year.
If you’d like to participate in one of these groups, email: [email protected]
There will be lots of different working groups created and rolled out over the year, and we will open these to members to participate in via our Chairman’s Chat and other communications.
I encourage you to plan to fully activate your membership and be a part of the life of the Sydney Hills Business Chamber this year.
Have a great month in business!
Kerrie Sheaves
Chairman
