Richard Holland took up the position of Chamber Membership & Events Manager in 2012. With a background encompassing 11 years in banking, 18 years in offline print solutions, and a venture into the world of web development and social media, finding solutions for businesses and collaborative opportunities had become second nature, making him a great fit for the role.

An active personal networker for 15 years, and already involved in local community groups including the Norwest Junior Rugby Union Club, Richard felt very much at home when he joined the Sydney Hills Business Chamber in 2007. He immediately joined the My Board program, and went on to attend 90% of events and training opportunities. In February 2012 he was invited to become a Chamber board member.

In his years as Membership & Events Manager Richard has not only established many business relationships and friendships with Chamber members, he’s been responsible for bringing others together and facilitating strategic partnerships and long term collaborations between members. And he absolutely loves every minute of it.

Richard’s personal aims are to:

  • Always be a great listener so he can assess a member’s key issues and look for a solution based on need, affordability and practicality.
  • Assist members of the local business community who are not Chamber members to understand how membership can benefit their business.
  • Assist Chamber members to take advantage of the opportunities membership offers, by meeting with members personally to discuss opportunities and learn about their businesses.
